    1. Indeed - Rainier is certainly bustling at this time of the year. Paradise wasn't as dramatic as Spray Park, but it was bursting with fauna. Besides the bears we didn't see much in the way of animal/insect life at Spray Park - though that may have had to do with the time of day as well. I went to Paradise just after sunrise. I don't think people who arrived later would have seen some of the creatures that I did. Things tend to disappear after heat of the day and the crowds kick in.       1. That's how our days look in the remote travels we do...very early morning, then do nothing during the day, then back to wildlife at the end of the day, seems to be a universal truth. Posted 10 years ago
