  1. This is really stunning, I love the crisp bright blue giving life to the dead leaves. Do you know what species this is? Posted 10 years ago
    1. I'm very curious as well. Did some 20 mins of research but no luck so far. Posted 10 years ago
    2. I suspect it is a metalmark in the genus mesosemia but I haven't found an exact match yet. Posted 10 years ago
      1. Most Mesosemia have eyespots on the forewings, this one doesn't.
Do you have a photo of the underside of the wings? The male Dynamine postverta looks like a close match.

''Dynamine postverta'', the Mylitta Greenwing or Four-spot Sailor, is a butterfly in the Nymphalidae family. It is found throughout most tropical and subtropical areas of central and South America, from Mexico south to Argentina and Paraguay. The habitat includes primary rainforests, humid deciduous woodlands, scrubby grassland and farmland at altitudes up to about 900 metres.

The larvae feed on ''Dalechampia'' species. They are slug-like, with tiny rosettes of spines on the back.
