This is greatly appreciated. They are an undervalued group of life, and we all struggle with identifications. Posted 10 years ago
I'm in the final stages of producing an educational pamphlet on the dangers of pets eating certain toxic wild mushrooms in our area. We have a big problem with Amanita aprica and Amanita patherina in the spring and early summer. My aim is to distribute the pamphlet to all area veterinarians, the Humane Society and emergency clinics. Your amazing shot of a Pantherina baby perfectly shows the mushroom in the emerging stage. As you may guess high resolution photos of all stages are hard to come by. May I have your permission to use this photo in our pamphlet. Of course I will give you credit for this great shot, or if necessary I can offer some financial compensation, or a special guided tour/mushroom hunt if you are in our area.
You can check us out at mushroomsinbend.org. or at our Central Oregon Mushroom Club on Facebook.
Thanks you so much ahead of time for your consideration,
Julie Hamilton
