''Zygaena ephialtes'' is a member of the Zygaenidae family. It is found in most of Europe, except Ireland, Great Britain, the Netherlands, Portugal, Fennoscandia, Denmark, Estonia and Latvia.

The wingspan is 35 mm.

The larvae feed on ''Coronilla varia'' and ''Coronilla emerus''.
