"Golden Trumpet" AKA "Common Trumpetvine" AKA "Yellow Allamanda" (Allamanda Cathartica) - is a species of flowering vine plant of the genus Allamanda in the family Apocynaceae. It is native to Brazil.
It is cultivated as an ornamental plant for its large, fragrant flowers. It is a vine that requires a trellis or a fence for support. It does not twine, nor does it have tendrils or aerial roots. It can be pruned into a shrub form. If not pruned it can sprawl to a height of 20 feet. It is the official flower of the city "Canóvanas", Puerto Rico.
Although I see these flowers everyday, throughout their blooming season, and they never fail to captivate me to take new pictures of them.
