Don't you touch me
Common Cat Snake (Boiga trigonata trigonata) - A friend of mine spotted this juvenile snake (about 1 ft in length) crawling in to the grass next to a road, under the light of my bike's headlights, on the way to "Siddarabetta"; a hill in Tumkur. His snake handling skills yielded us a few pictures of the snake before we released it back in to the wild.
This species is not to be confused with the sub-species "Boiga trigonata melanocephala", which is found in Pakistan. Their venom toxicity varies from species to species, and the venom from this snake is not usually harmful to humans.

''Boiga trigonata'', commonly known as the Indian gamma snake or common cat snake, is a species of rear-fanged colubrid endemic to South Asia.
