  1. Oh wow, now that is spectacular! Posted 10 years ago
    1. It would have been awesome to have a DSLR camera version of this image, as it would have been an HD image. Posted 10 years ago
      1. On the fullscreen image viewer:
        http://www.jungledragon.com/image/21712/pan-o-rama_-_180.html/zoom

...just click "load original" to see the hi-res original.

        1. Right, the preview image looks great only when the actual image size is large (DSLR cam quality). I shot this image on my iPhone and did some basic post processing on it later on.

          Funny story:
I climbed up several kilometers to reach the destination as you can see in the image, and when I wanted to click series of images on my camera to stitch on PS in to panorama, I noticed that one of the adjustment levers on my Tripod was missing. It was VERY disheartening!

          1. With "image preview" do you perhaps mean the thumbnail images? If so, yes, those look blurry for panoramas. But that is not an issue with the image resolution itself. It has to do with the extreme aspect ratio of panorama images.

You have a tripod for your phone?

  2. I could not find the "Reply" option to your last response, Ferdy. Hence, I am writing this as a new comment.

Yes, the Thumbnail images seem to produce blurry images. As you have mentioned above, it's got to do with the aspect ratio of the panoramic images. However, the preview image we get to zoom in on, when we click on the Thumbnail is not of the original image quality, correct? I'm guessing that is the reason we have the "Load original" option for every pic?

I own a basic tripod for my DSLR camera. I don't have a tripod for my iPhone, yet, but I intend to buy a Gorillapod for it. I totally love Gorillapods :)
