Eurasian coot
Food is mainly obtained during underwater dives, but they also graze on the land and on the surface of the water. Although their main diet is vegetable matter with some insects and worms, for some reason in the northern hemisphere they do tend to consume a little more animal matter.

The Eurasian coot, also known as the common coot, is a member of the rail and crake bird family, the Rallidae. It is found in Europe, Asia, Australia and parts of Africa.
