Not too much going on at the Nisqually estuary today, but I've found a good place to put on the return to list. In winter it may be possible to see a number of different migrating ducks, loons and raptors.

The least sandpiper (Calidris minutilla) is the smallest shorebird. The genus name is from Ancient Greek kalidris or skalidris, a term used by Aristotle for some grey-colored waterside birds.
