    1. I figure out what type of bird, it is actually a barn swallow. It is quite common around Lake Elkhorn in Maryland. Thank you. I would not have try to identify it if you did not point me to the right direction. Posted 11 years ago
  2. I am not sure but I took the picture at Lake Elkhorn in Maryland. Can it be the common swift (Apus apus)? I think I took a close up picture of the bird that can help with identification. Let me locate it and download it. Thank you. Posted 11 years ago

The barn swallow is the most widespread species of swallow in the world. It is a distinctive passerine bird with blue upperparts, a long, deeply forked tail and curved, pointed wings. It is found in Europe, Asia, Africa and the Americas.
