Butterfly I love the spots on this one! Such bright colors and such distinctive circles. This guy was spotted in a butterfly garden in Seattle, Washington.     Regarding species identification, the subject definitely looks similar to the species you claim it to be. The only thing differing somewhat are the reds in the owl eyes, which this species has. Not sure if that means its correct or not, you're definitely close.

"Morpho peleides", the Peleides blue morpho, common morpho or the emperor is an iridescent tropical butterfly found in Mexico, Central America, northern South America, Paraguay and Trinidad. Most authorities believe that "peleides" is a subspecies of "Morpho helenor".
