I can't seem to find the species on this one. It doesn't look like a typical monarch butterfly because of the prominent yellow. If anyone could tell me the species name I would appreciate it.

  2. In most cases yes, but this was takened in a butterfly garden and they have butterflies from all over the world. This butterfly garden is in Seattle, Washington if that helps. Posted 11 years ago

The Ismenius Tiger or Tiger Heliconian is a butterfly of the Nymphalidae family found in Central America and northern South America.
