Morelia spilota mcdowelli

A wild juvenile Coastal Carpet Python (Morelia spilota mcdowelli) coiled and wary, ready to strike.     eek… I don't see any exif data on your image, but I hope you had on a very long lens… If I'm not mistaken python are constrictors, so generally not venomous, but I still wouldn't want to be bitten by one. Posted 11 years ago, modified 11 years ago

      lol.. jetsam (alt spelling jetsom) is usually a marine term. There are apparently legal implications (for salvage I suppose) to which something in the sea is classified.
      Flotsam is floating wreckage of a ship or its cargo. Jetsam is part of a ship, its equipment, or its cargo that is purposely cast overboard or jettisoned to lighten the load in time of distress and that sinks or is washed ashore       Posted 11 years ago

    Jetsom, is just the crap around his mouth, little bits of grass, cobweb etc., perhaps not the perfect word to use.

''Morelia spilota mcdowelli'' is a subspecies of ''Morelia spilota'', commonly known as the carpet python, and is informally named the Eastern, Coastal or McDowell's Carpet python. The original description and name was published by Wells and Wellington in 1984. It occurs along the northeastern coast of Australia and in New Guinea.
