        1. That's true...I let him out of his cage just for photographs :):) Kind of like your yellow bird at Amsterdamse Waterleiding Duinen....I know that that is a pet parakeet that you keep at home. Posted 8 years ago, modified 8 years ago
          1. Hehe, no...never. I don't think birds should be kept in cages. That just makes no sense at all, although I am guilty of photographing them in zoos like that. Posted 8 years ago

The Northern Cardinal is a North American bird in the genus "Cardinalis"; it is also known colloquially as the redbird or common cardinal. It can be found in southern Canada, through the eastern United States from Maine to Texas and south through Mexico. It is found in woodlands, gardens, shrublands, and swamps.
