  1. yes, definitely a Wolf Spider. Very beneficial spider to have around the house. Great at getting rid of nuisance insects. Be careful if you transport out of house, this time of year, they tend to have about 400 babies riding around on their back and if you they are startled or (and hope you dont' do this) stomped on, the babies will scatter everywhere.     1. I was actually hoping to see the babies on her back to confirm the species before you gave me the info. No...we protect all animals if possible. She is alive and well and living in the garage.

    1. I got a little nervous. She kept on walking toward me when I got down low but I will try again tomorrow if I can find her. As it is she got annoyed when I took some fluff balls off her legs.(I'll send you the doctor's bill :) Posted 11 years ago, modified 11 years ago
