Hibiscus syriacus (Rose of Sharon, rose mallow, St. Joseph's rod)
This beautiful flowering bush is the national flower of South Korea, where it's symbolic significance is derived from the Korean word "mugung" which means "eternity" or "inexhaustible abundance". The flower ranges in colors of white, red, purple and blue.

"Hibiscus syriacus" is a species of flowering plant in the mallow family Malvaceae, native to India and much of Asia. It was given the epithet "syriacus" because it had been collected from gardens in Syria. Common names include rose of Sharon, Syrian ketmia or rose mallow, St Joseph's rod and Rosa de Sharon.
