African Wild Dog Next to Termite Mound
I came across this pack of wild dog just before sunset. Just before we were going to head back to camp, one of the males walked in front of a red termite mound, which was a blazing red in the last minutes of direct sunlight.

"Lycaon pictus" is a large canid found only in Africa, especially in savannas and lightly wooded areas. It is variously called the African wild dog, African hunting dog, Cape hunting dog, painted dog, painted wolf, painted hunting dog, spotted dog, or ornate wolf.
