    What amazing color. I've seen similar purple species in Africa but not this particular species with its red eyes. Wonderful. Posted 11 years ago

      I had the same, this took my attention because it looked different.
      It took me a while to figure out what it was -> the red eye.
      Now I think back I can't believe I did not see it rught away ;)       Posted 11 years ago

The Hildebrandts starling

Hildebrandt's starling is a species of starling in the family Sturnidae. It forms a superspecies with and has previously been included in the same species as Shelley's starling, a migratory species ranging from Ethiopia and Somalia to Kenya.
