    1. I first saw this moth on the ground and I was able to get several photos. After putting them on my computer, I wanted more shots of it so I went back out in the yard and it had moved onto a barberry bush. I then took about 5 more pictures of it. Posted 11 years ago

''Haploa confusa'' is a moth of the family Erebidae that occurs in North America. The caterpillars feed on a variety of plants, such as Willow (Salix sp.), Alder (Alnus sp.), and Hound's tongue, (Cynoglossum officinale).
