Deroceras reticulatum, grey garden slug

These interesting creatures are a common site in gardens and wet, damps areas. Most people cringe at the sight of them and will usually drown them in beer or kill them with salt. These slugs vary in color from tan (like the one pictured here) to dark grey. Shown here, this slug is slowly making its way across the road.
