  1. Because of the red and green colour of the wing, I think this is more likely a cardinal (Argynnis pandora). Posted 11 years ago

The Cardinal is a butterfly of the Nymphalidae family. It is common throughout southern Europe and is also found in northern Africa and western and central Asia.
