One note though: you keep using the "request manual species creation" option incorrectly. It should only be used when automatic specie searching does not work. In this case it works just fine, as you can see. Please refrain from using the manual option incorrectly. It emails all moderators each time. Posted 11 years ago

"Identification unsuccessful?
If you enter a valid species name, yet still cannot successfully identify the species, it likely means that no matching Wikipedia page for the species exists. You may request our moderator team to create a species entry manually."
In other words, use the search box. In 90% of cases it will work. I simply entered "Xylota segnis" into the search box and clicked the button "Search species". It worked just fine, so there is no need to request a moderator to create a species manually. That option is a last resort.
I hope this explains it. It takes a little while to get used to, I know. Let me know if you have any more questions, we're here to help. Posted 11 years ago
