  2. Thanks Ferdy. It's partly an illusion of the light.

    I made sure the background was out-of-focus, but I could see the highlights were distorted by the lens & wave motion. I probably wouldn't have take the image without it.

The Ebony Jewelwing is a species of broad-winged damselflies. It is one out of the 170 species of the Odonata found in New England, the Mid-Atlantic states, and southeastern Canada.
