  1. It is Parantica genus. Parantica, commonly called Tigers, is an Old World genus of butterflies in subfamily Danainae of family Nymphalidae.
    It is either Parantica aglea, or Parantica agleoides, but cannot be specified based on this photo. In order to distinguish them the fore wing should be clearly visible.

The Blue Tiger is a butterfly found in India that belongs to the crows and tigers, that is, the danaid group of the brush-footed butterfly family. This butterfly shows gregarious migratory behaviour in southern India.
