  1. hi Linda, thanks for joining JungleDragon. I have a few tips for you on how to share a photo here:

    - Using the "edit details" button below the photo, you can give your photo a meaningful title and description. The current long string of numbers are meaningless to people. As a title, it is recommended to describe the scene, location and/or species.

    - If you know the name of the species on the photograph, you can try to identify it using the "Identify species" button to the right of the photo.

    I hope this helps. Sharing photos with details included is very important on this site. Let me know if you have any questions.

The blue dasher is an insect of the skimmer family. It is the only species in the genus "Pachydiplax". It is very common and widely distributed through North America and into the Bahamas.
