  1. This is not a Octopus macropus but a Starry Night Octopus - Octopus luteus.
    I believe you see this during a night dive?

The Starry Night Octopus - Octopus luteus is a nocturnal octopus and usually only seen at night time when they come out to hunt. Unlike most other species of Octopus, they don't change colour too much, mostly reddish brown with white spots.
Also referred to as Callistoctopus luteus
