  1. Danny, the subspecies Ardea alba modesta is distributed in Asia and Oceania. If your photos are from the USA, it is better to use the main species - Ardea alba. Posted 5 years ago

The Eastern Great Egret , a white heron in the genus ''Ardea'', is a subspecies of the Great Egret . It was first described by British ornithologist John Edward Gray in 1831.
