    1. Oh I am so glad you asked (and thank you!). I got a 'Wimberley Plamp' for my birthday, so I took a small branch, attached it to the plamp and placed it in the sun for better lighting, plus I could maneuver the flower the way I wanted. What a cheat!! Plus I used a little fill in flash.

Polygala myrtifolia is a common, widespread pioneer shrub with pretty mauve flowers on and off throughout the year with a peak in spring, hence the names Augustusbossie and September bush.
