One does not even have to move to developing countries to see such prize squeezing. As an example, in the Netherlands the entire food industry is in the hands of about 3 corporations. Although they are competitors they actually collaborate as it comes to purchasing goods from suppliers, for example farmers. As a result, farmers have no choice but to be squeezed, as they can't offer their products to anybody else. Posted 11 years ago
