    I am wondering: why are most of your photos shared in a hi-res format whilst others are in low res, like this one?

    1. Nearly did!
      As to your question I use several cameras a Nikon DSLR, and 2 Digital cameras an Olympus SP-510 and a Sony DSC-H100 The Olympus has created the low res images

The Australian Pied Cormorant is a medium-sized member of the cormorant family. It is found around the coasts of Australasia. In New Zealand it is usually known either as the Pied Shag or by its Māori name of Karuhiruhi. Older sources may refer to it as the "Yellow-faced Cormorant".
