  1. Even after going through my complete raptor book, I am still not sure of this one. Raptors I find very difficult to identify as males, females and juveniles can look quite different. I hope you don't mind but I shared this onto my own Facebook page in the hope that one of my birdy friends may be able to help. Posted 11 years ago

      1. So far it seems this could be a juvenile Marsh Harrier but will do some double checking before an official identification. :)
        Can you confirm that this bird was in the wild?

The western marsh harrier is a large harrier, a bird of prey from temperate and subtropical western Eurasia and adjacent Africa. It is also known as the Eurasian marsh harrier.
