  1. This makes me jealous. This bird is on the top of my list of birds to photograph in the Netherlands. I find it to be the most beautiful bird we have. Particularly the male is gorgeous. Would love to see a closeup of the male sitting up. Posted 8 years ago

The bearded reedling is a small, sexually dimorphic reed-bed passerine bird. It is frequently known as the bearded tit, due to some similarities to the long-tailed tit, or the bearded parrotbill.
