Closeup of Brimstone feeding on nectar of white flower, Heesch, the Netherlands
As it was the hottest time of day, these brimstones were very active. However, upon finding a plant like this, for a few seconds they were in trance, unaware of their surroundings. I guess butterflies are always in a hurry, since they typically only live for a few weeks at most.

''Gonepteryx rhamni'' is a butterfly of the family Pieridae. It lives throughout the Palearctic zone and is commonly found across Europe, Asia, and North Africa. Across much of its range, it is the only species of its genus, and is therefore simply known locally as the brimstone.
