Robber fly in full sun on leaf, Heesch, the Netherlands

I had some confidence in being correct based on its size, legs and hair growth, but further research learns that this particular species is rare in the Netherlands, and often seen in an area different from where I captured it. Therefore, I'm now in doubt about the correctness.
