The slate-colored hawk is a species of bird of prey in the Accipitridae family: the hawks, eagles, and allies. It is found in northern South America: Brazil, Bolivia, Peru, Ecuador, Colombia, Venezuela, and French Guiana. Its natural habitat is subtropical or tropical swamps.
