JungleDragon donates to the African Wildlife Foundation
To celebrate the 16,000 photos milestone (and 3,500 species), JungleDragon has just donated 100 USD to the African Wildlife Foundation. We've specifically targeted this donation at Central Africa, home of stunning biodiversity, yet plagued with enormous habitat destruction, war and poverty.
Here you can see some of the projects that they do:

Although modest contributions, we did do this as a community, and for each new photo milestone passed, I will keep donating. You're making a difference simply by using JungleDragon.
Note that I did not take this photo, I copied it from their website, hoping it is ok that we spread further awareness this way.

The mountain gorilla is one of the two subspecies of the eastern gorilla. There are two populations. One is found in the Virunga volcanic mountains of Central Africa, within three National Parks. The other is found in Uganda's Bwindi Impenetrable National Park.
