JungleDragon donates to the African Wildlife Foundation To celebrate the 16,000 photos milestone (and 3,500 species), JungleDragon has just donated 100 USD to the African Wildlife Foundation. We've specifically targeted this donation at Central Africa, home of stunning biodiversity, yet plagued with enormous habitat destruction, war and poverty.
Although modest contributions, we did do this as a community, and for each new photo milestone passed, I will keep donating. You're making a difference simply by using JungleDragon.
1. Awesome! Well done Ferdy and to everyone who contributes to this site. I don't know of any other site that has a scheme such as this. Very proud to be part of it.
Oh my goodness, is there really anything cuter than a gorilla baby?

  3. Great job everyone! And I must agree with Claire, there are not many cuter things in the natural world than a baby gorilla, if any! Posted 11 years ago

The mountain gorilla is one of the two subspecies of the eastern gorilla. There are two populations. One is found in the Virunga volcanic mountains of Central Africa, within three National Parks. The other is found in Uganda's Bwindi Impenetrable National Park.
