    2. I don't think so, the spots are not quite the same. It is more likely a Tarucus, but I am not sure which one, the underside of their wings is very similar.

    1. In this case, I think the Black-spotted Pierrot is a closer match. If you check the distribution, it has been reported a little to the south from yours, towards Mumbai.

The Black-spotted Pierrot is a small butterfly found in India that belongs to the Lycaenids or Blues family.

Formerly regarded as a distinct species, it is nowadays considered to be a well-marked eastern subspecies of the Balkan Pierrot .
