      This year there are almost no orchids in our area. I think it is due to lack of rain. It is so dry and in some Conservation reserves I found that most young Banksia trees are dead.       Posted one month ago

        That's so sad. And yet here in NSW our ground is super-saturated with several years worth of overly wet winters and persistent weather patterns. Crazy. Posted one month ago

The Upright spider orchid

''Caladenia stricta'', commonly known as the upright spider orchid or rigid-combed spider-orchid is a plant in the orchid family Orchidaceae and is endemic to southern continental Australia. It is a ground orchid with a single leaf and usually only one pale green flower with red lines along the sepals and petals.
