Female Green Darner - Full Body View A female green darner with a tattered hind right wing resting in some thick grass. I only noticed her because she was rapidly vibrating her wings and it was making a loud humming noise when I was walking by. She flew away after a few photos, so even though her wing looks bad, it wasn't inhibiting her flight at all. Captured in the Upper Mississippi River Wildlife Refuge in northern Illinois.
