  1. I've been pondering about wild growth and weed lately, and I think perspective really matters. Due to the economic crisis, in my country there's a lot less maintenance on public pockets of greenery. I'm talking about unused pockets of land, strips of green next to roads, etc. Where before these were well maintained, clear cut and clean looking, many now look wild, with tall grasses and random flower growth.

Many, including me years ago, would argue it looks messy and chaotic, poorly maintained. Now I'm the total opposite: I find it beautiful. Let nature explode in its chaotic randomness. Let the plants grow as they should, and let the bugs come in.

Anyway, I just wanted to share that thought.

    1. I agree with you wholeheartedly, Ferdy. I would rather let my yard grow to it's crazy and wild potential rather than listen to society telling me to cut it and keep it neat. But I am all for letting the roadsides and public, nearly unused and unused land grow completely wild and natural. It looks beter to me in my opinion :) Posted 11 years ago
