  1. Peru's rarest toucan!
From ebird: "Small, green toucan found only in remote regions along the east slope of the Andes in northern Peru. Most of its cloud forest habitat is currently inaccessible without a serious expedition, so few birders have ever encountered this rare species."

    1. Did you just do an iNat bird species intro? Didn't imagine such a thing to be possible over there.

Extraordinary observation, congrats! Did you really have to do an expedition?

      1. Haha yes, probably the only time I'll be able to do that with a Peruvian bird!
Yes the expedition was 8 days, but only because we also went to see the mausoleums of the Laguna de los Condores. It "only" takes 2 days to get to the toucanet haha
