Willie Wagtail - Rhipidura leucophrys Portrait of male Willie Wagtail.<br />
A pair of Willy Wagtails are almost ready to breed for the 3rd year in our back garden. Convenienly for them ( not for us) they build the nest on our cloth hoist and are occupying it now again after some repair work. The first 2 seasons they produced each time 3 young .This morning my wife observed the first copulation and we expect for them to lay the 1st egg in a day or two. 1. We saw this species in Papua. Very confident and assertive bird, to say the least :) Posted yesterday
