Eurybrachys tomentosa The eurybrachys tomentosa is&nbsp;a colourful planthopper belonging to the family Eurybrachidae, and particularly found in south and central India.&nbsp;I have always called it the&nbsp;Christmas&nbsp;bug&nbsp;owing to its green and red colouration.&nbsp;<br />
Eurybrachidae are sap-suckers. The female will lay several clutches of eggs in clusters, covered by a white capsule that protects them from predators. They are regarded as pests. Eurybrachys tomentosa

The eurybrachys tomentosa is a colourful planthopper belonging to the family Eurybrachidae, and particularly found in south and central India. I have always called it the Christmas bug owing to its green and red colouration. 
Eurybrachidae are sap-suckers. The female will lay several clutches of eggs in clusters, covered by a white capsule that protects them from predators. They are regarded as pests.
