While on a walk, I chanced upon what looked like a floundering wasp. When I looked closer I saw it was two black ants engaged in a brutal fight. I was surprised- for I did not know ants fought.<br />
They were at it for five minutes at least. A fight unto death that ended only when one decapitated the other...<br />

"Camponotus compressus" is a type of ground-nesting species of ant found in India and Southeast Asia. It is a frequent visitor to toilets as it consumes urea. It is one of the many species which tends plant-sap-sucking insects like aphids and tree hoppers.
