Indian Green Lynx Spider, Morning Hunt
This morning, I witnessed a lynx spider enjoying its breakfast—a Lyside Sulphur butterfly. I arrived just after the attack, and it was fascinating to watch nature’s drama unfold. The lynx spider itself was striking, with 10 legs and a body divided into two distinct parts. The front section was almost transparent, revealing fine textures, while the back was solid and dark green. Its beautiful eyes stood out, glistening in the morning light. The translucent front, patterned with delicate details, made it an extraordinary subject to observe. Spending time with this remarkable hunter was a memorable start to the day.

Please do note that I removed the species ID. "Peucetia viridans" (green lynx spider) is a species occurring in the Americas, not in India. Green Lynx spiders as a group occur almost everywhere but this specific one identified is not a match. Posted 25 days ago
