photographed on the central queensland gemfields actually at our back door in the town of sapphire the area was locally known as frog hollow and when it really rained you could hear nothing but the sound of frogs ...no matter how loud the stereo was turned up to ....the frogs won!
The striped burrowing frog is a species of burrowing frog in the Hylidae family. It occurs throughout much of Australia, from northern New South Wales, through eastern and northern Queensland and into eastern Northern Territory. This species was once included in the genus ''Litoria''.
