Lepiota friesii var. acutesquamosa. I had this one identified by an expert, I wasn't convinced at first owing to the colour but it checks all the right boxes and it appears this is a synonym for the L. 1. Found this in the forest by my house. Such a pretty little thing, quite tiny (2cm diameter) . The edibility of this one is unknown, so will not be frying it up for breakfast! Posted 11 years ago, modified 11 years ago
  2. Very nice additions today, Claire! Congratulations! Posted 11 years ago

"Lepiota aspera"; sometimes known commonly as the Freckled Dapperling, is a large brownish; white gilled mushroom, with a warty or scaly cap. It lives in woodland, or on bark chips in parks, and gardens.
