Found on a rock in a tide pool during low tide. I was looking for sea stars, but was pleasantly stunned to find a nudibranch!

  1. Wonderful! It looks well camouflaged too? Posted 2 months ago
    1. Yes...I had ventured as far from the shore as possible, without breaking my neck on the seaweed-covered rocks, and was intent on finally seeing a sea star. I noticed this fluffy pink thing on the side of a rock and used some seaweed to move it to the top of the rock (still kept underwater, though). It was only about 15 mm long and blended in really well with all the seaweed. I carefully put it back where I found it and didn't tell anyone about it until back on land. The reason for the last bit is because there was a small hoard of people with kids tidepooling nearby and I didn't want them trampling the creatures nor did I want them to injure themselves trying to go out that far. 1. 15mm only? Even more impressive that you spotted it! Good call on protecting it from the masses. Posted 2 months ago
