Dark Fishing Spider
This female dark fishing spider was found hiding in some of our camping gear while we were packing up our camp site. It had gotten quite chilly in the early morning hours, so I released her on a log in the sunshine with some lichens so I could get some good photos. I think she was so tolerant of my intrusive behavior because she was so cold.

The Dark Fishing Spider is a fishing spider found in northeastern North America. Female bodies are 15–26 mm; males are 7–13 mm. Legs range from 50–90 mm. The spider is a pale to dark brown colour with several chevron markers and lighter stripes around its legs.
