Young Yellow Faced Whip Snake
This little guy was found under a rock on a cold winter morning.
He has the prettiest bronze nape and blue underside I've seen on this species.
A common mildly venomous elapid.
These gorgeous babies are often mistaken as baby brown snakes because of their colouring.

The yellow-faced whip snake is a species of venomous snake in the family Elapidae, a family containing many dangerous snakes. "D. psammophis" is endemic to Australia, found throughout the continent in a variety of habitats from coastal fringes to interior arid scrubland.
